Brad Darrid - Country Music Singer/Songwriter

Brad Darrid Bio

Drawing from an array of musical influences from Steely Dan to Bryan Adams to Keith Urban, multi-talented songwriter and recording artist Brad Darrid has crafted his own signature style and sound; a unique blend of country, blues and rock that projects soulful introspection.

With years of performance and writing experience behind him, and authenticity leading the way, the Canadian West Coast native partnered with award winning producer John Ellis (Jeremy Fisher, Ridley Bent, Doc Walker) in 2014 to record and release his debut self-titled EP, “Brad Darrid” which included the release of his first single ‘My First Love’ to radio. In 2015, the EP garnered nominations for Album of the Year with the BC Country Music Association and Best Engineered Recording with the Western Canadian Music Awards.

In 2015 Brad went on to write and record his 2nd single “Wide Open” with producer Jeff Johnson, which received national airplay at Country radio in Canada and ranked #10 on the DMDS Most Active Indies chart.

Currently, he is focusing on the July 10, 2017 release of his new single “Take Me There” (also produced by Jeff Johnson) which is now out at Canadian Country radio and recently ranked #5 on the DMDS Most Active Indies chart. He is also working on new material with two time Juno Award winner Brian Howes, as well as renowned writer, musician and producer Tom McKillip (One More Girl, Aaron Pritchett, Codie Prevost) and producer Jeff Johnson, which will no doubt echo the sentiments of his recent work, and enrich his craft.

“From an early age, I’ve had the urge to write songs. Music is a real escape for me.”
